this was a mural on Brick Lane. So basically this was made from scratches to the wall. And the final result was amazing. I hope that the same happens to our group observation..everybody brings his ideas, inspirations, materials and when everything is shared, composed and mixed the whole procedure takes a form..
So..This is the start of brick lane. A totally different sight. You hardly listen to any sounds here..Few people walking.... Nothing to remind of the busy Lane..
Yes! those are brains in the bag. I like the idea of these shapes beeing abstracted from there settings. i loved the bridge i have loads more on my camera i think that as an abstract structure, removed from its location on brick lane, it becomes really beautiful. Almost a frame work that other imagery could be built upon.
I found brick lane a special canvas for every color to be dyed on it. Based on the light brown brick wall, a color spectrum spreads out from bloody red to pale white. It's very interesting for me to experience various visual temperature in all corners. Added colourful graffiti, signs, and warnings, brick lane is a very special space exhiting different possible voice. Color in brick lane represents attitude and acts as background music.
Three men standing outside a curry house arguing over a dispute over money it gets quite aggressive and police are called, above them is a sign saying 'Welcome Bangladesh'
This is one of my favourite pictures from the night it is the last building at the end of brick lane on the opposite side from the busy curry houses it stands derelict and alone quite symbolic.
What amazed me about brick lane is that everywhere are layers and layers of objects, colours, textures , texts , images....if feels like people stick on or put just more and more stuff and don't take away what was there before and this becomes like a mapping of time.
